Discover some of the one hundred and eighteen Venetian islands and five hundred and fifty square kilometres of wild lagoon beyond the City of Venice. Nearest to Isola Santa Cristina is the famed Burano island with its colourful buildings and hand-made lace, Mazzorbo with the Venissa vineyards and lauded restaurant, and Torcello with its first-century Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta, which boasts stunning Byzantine mosaics.

Take a trip into the northern lagoon, where writers such as Ernest Hemingway lived and wrote for some time, and observe the thousands of wild birds that migrate and settle there. Board the antique sailing ship, Eolo, and dine on locally-sourced delicacies as you glide through the barene before heading back to the island for the night.
